BlackRock Long-Term Municipal Advantage Trust of Beneficial Interest (BTA) Company Description

Under normal market conditions the trust will invest at least 80% of its total assets in municipal securities and derivatives instruments with exposure to such bonds or securities. These will be expected to pay interest or income exempt from regular Federal income tax not including Federal alternative minimum tax. At least 50% of the Trusts investment will be in municipal bonds that at the time of investment are rated investment grade quality. The Trust intends for its bond portfolio to consist primarily of longterm bonds and will normally have a dollar weighted average maturity of greater than ten years. The Trust may invest up to 25% of its net assets in residual interest municipal tender option bonds which are derivative interests in municipal bonds. The Trust may also invest in securities of other open or closedend investment companies that invest primarily in municipal bonds and in taxexempt preferred shares that pay dividends exempt from Federal income tax. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its assets in municipal obligations and derivative instruments with exposure to such municipal obligations, in each case that are expected to pay interest or income that is exempt from U.S. federal income tax (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax). The Fund invests, under normal market conditions, primarily in long-term municipal bonds with a maturity of more than ten years at the time of investment and, under normal market conditions, the Funds municipal bond portfolio will have a dollar-weighted average maturity of greater than 10 years. The Fund may invest directly in such securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives.
