Futures Point Higher Tuesday Ahead of Midterm Elections; Lyft and Take-Two Plunge Following Earnings

First Look

Stock futures are pointed higher Tuesday morning ahead of midterm elections. Cryptos are down after Binance sold all of its remaining FTT, worth $530 million, the native token to Sam Bankman-Fried's FTX. Lyft, Inc. (LYFT) is down 16% in pre-market after the company missed revenue estimates and issued in-line fourth-quarter revenue guidance while missing Wall Street's estimate for active riders. Meanwhile, Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO) is down 16.7% as it missed earnings and revenue estimates while lowering its full-year 2023 guidance. The Nasdaq is up 0.37%, the Dow Jones is up 0.19%, the S&P is up 0.16%.

Energy futures are down today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down -0.68 at 91.11 per barrel. Brent crude is down -0.47 at 87.45 per barrel. Natural Gas is down -0.42 at 6.53. Precious metals are down this morning. Gold is down -4.63 at 1671 per ounce. Platinum is down -3.77 at 981.77 while silver is down -0.12 at 20.8. The dollar is mixed compared to the major currencies today. The greenback is up against the euro, down against the Yen and up against the Pound. Bitcoin is down -4.9% to $19,728.80 while Ethereum is down -6.48% to $1,478.27.

Put/Call Ratio

Yesterday, 1,696,709 call contracts traded on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) compared to 1,258,576 put contracts. The single-session put/call ratio was 0.74.
