WeWork Searches for New CEO

Major indices are up at mid-day Tuesday ahead of President Trump's 12 p.m. speech at the Economic Club of New York, where investors will be watching for any signs of progress or struggle in trade negotiations with China. WeWork's board is reportedly in talks to hire T-Mobile (TMUS) CEO John Legere to lead the struggling office-leasing company.

At present, the S&P 500 is up +0.43%, the DJIA is up +0.24%, and the NASDAQ is up +0.44%.

Industries doing well today include Electrical Equipment, Life Sciences Tools & Services, and Software. Industries showing weakness include Wireless Telecommunication Services, Road & Rail, and Media. The VIX is down -0.17 to 12.52 after the previous close of 12.69. The total put/call ratio as of 10:30 AM was 0.61 (183,626/300,501). The advancers/decliners ratio for NYSE stocks is 1,691/1,012 while the advancers/decliners ratio for NASDAQ stocks is 1,632/1,113.
