Real Estate Leads New 52-Week Highs; Trade Deficit Drops to $68.9 Billion

During trading Tuesday, 250 stocks traded to a 52-week high, while 0 stocks bottomed out at new 52-week lows. The S&P 500 is up 0.11% so far today while the Dow is up 0.09%, the Nasdaq is up 0.45%, and the Russell 2000 is up 1.22%.

Stocks are inching higher late in trading Tuesday. The United States trade deficit fell from $74,4 billion to $68.9 billion, estimates were for a slightly bigger drop to $68.6 billion. The United Kingdom will decide on June 21 if it will fully reopen the economy as the Delta coronavirus variant will impact the decisions as it is spreading across the country.

The Real Estate sector is outperforming the market, increasing 0.67% so far on the day. Financial Services had the second largest presence on our 52-week highs, with 29 out of 250 highs coming from the Financial Services sector. The Financial Services sector is outperforming the market today, decreasing 0.13% so far on the day. Over the last month the Financial Services sector has outperformed the market, increasing 3.03% while the S&P increased 1.41%.
