What's Going On With Quarterhill Inc?
Quarterhill Inc (QTRHF) today announced that Woden Technologies Inc. and Innovative Memory Systems Inc, wholly-owned subsidiaties of WiLan Subsidiaries, a division of Quarterhill, acquired patents in areas such as capturing, preserving, accessing and transforming data for data centers, mobile and personal devices. The patents directly relate to semiconductor process, packaging and circuit technologies. Further terms of the transaction were not made known. Shares of the company were trading 0.52% higher to $1.93 a share on Tuesday.

Wilan is considered one of the most successful patent monetization companies in the world. It partners with its customers to create value from intellectual property through various patent monetization models. In 2014, WiLAN announced that Innovative Memory Systems Inc. had acquired a portfolio of non-volatile memory patents with which some of these newly acquired patents will be combined.
Quarterhill plans on releasing its financial results for the three- and six-month periods ended June 30, 2021, on Thursday, August 5, 2021.
