What’s going on with Victory Square Technologies?
Victory Square Technologies (VSQTF) stock was slightly down after the Canadian company announced that its portfolio company GameOn Entertainment Technologies entered an exclusive partnership with MX Player, India’s entertainment app, to debut cricket prediction games for mobile. Shares of VSQTF were trading 2.24% lower to $0.53 per share on Thursday afternoon.
"This is a major opportunity for GameOn, not only as a strong revenue-driver, but from an awareness standpoint that we are driving engagement, connectivity and gamification for partners and content providers across the globe,” said Matt Bailey, GameOn CEO.
What does this mean for VSQTF?
Victory Square’s subsidiary, GameOn, is expanding its reach to cricket fans globally by partnering with MX Player. The entertainment “super app” brings video playback, streaming video and gaming together in one platform, and has an array of premium content in 10 languages. It’s owned by Times Internet, the digital venture of Times of India, India’s largest media and entertainment group, and is accessible in 12 markets, including United Arab Emirates, U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan.
GameOn will introduce free-to-play games to MX Player’s cricket fans who watch domestic and international cricket events, tournaments and leagues.
