US stocks were higher Wednesday after a lower-than-expected flat monthly reading for July consumer prices.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 1.5% to 33,279.94 ahead of the closing bell, the Nasdaq Composite was up 2.5% to 12,799.9, and the S&P 500 was 2.1% higher at 4,209.
Materials led the gainers, with all sectors in the green.
The US 10-year yield was little changed at 2.79%.
West Texas Intermediate climbed 1.3% to $91.68 a barrel.
Gold was down 0.4% to $1,805.70 per troy ounce, and silver was up 0.3% to $20.54 per ounce.
