Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Lower Pre-Bell Monday

Consumer stocks were lower pre-bell Monday. The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF (XLY) was down 0.33% Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF (XLP) was 0.41% lower recently.

Albertsons (ACI) was climbing past 5% as it reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings of $0.64 per class A common share, up from year-earlier earnings of $0.60 per class A common share. Analysts polled by Capital IQ estimated EPS of $0.45.

Target (TGT) will now carry Amazfit's new fitness trackers, the Bip U Pro and Band 5, in its stores nationwide, Amazfit said. Target was marginally declining in recent trading.

Lennar (LEN) said its board increased the authorization of the company's stock repurchase program by up to the lesser of $1 billion, or 25 million in shares. Lennar was slightly lower recently.
