BMO's Markets Wrap; Awaits Payrolls Report and BoC Appearance Before House Finance Committee

Bank of Montreal noted it's a very quiet morning with the U.S. closed for Thanksgiving, and global markets little changed. Consumer confidence slumped again in November in Germany and France, amid rising COVID cases and new lockdown measures. It's relatively quiet in Canada today too, with the payrolls report the lone release at 8.30am (that's for September). And, Governor Macklem and Senior Deputy Governor Wilkins will appear before the House finance committee at 3:30 pm today.
