Asian ADRs Climb Higher in Wednesday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 1.16% higher at 1,743.38 on the BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by online game developer HUYA Inc. (HUYA) and financial platform Jianpu Technology Inc. (JT), which rose 7.8% and 5.4% respectively. They were followed by technology company Xunlei Limited (XNET) and aluminum producer Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (ACH), which was up 4.7% and 4%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by educational services provider Tarena International, Inc. (TEDU) and marketing technology platform iClick Interactive Asia Group Limited (ICLK), which fell 4.6% and 4.3% respectively. They were followed by real estate services provider Leju Holdings (LEJU) and investment management firm AMTD International Inc. (HKIB), which were off 4.1% and 3.6%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE) and automaker Tata Motors (TTM), which rose 4.7% and 3.5% respectively. They were followed by mining company Vedanta Limited (VEDL) and telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which were up 2.5% and 2.3%.

The only decliners in South Asia were biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals (ASLN) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which fell 1.8% and 0.2% respectively.
