Stocks Down Tuesday Morning

First Look

Futures for major U.S. equity indices are trading in red numbers ahead of the opening bell for the last day of the second quarter. Wells Fargo (WFC) announced Monday evening that it would be cutting its dividend as a result of the Federal Reserve's stress test program. The Nasdaq is flat 0%, the S&P is down -0.03%, the Dow Jones is down -0.06%.

Stocks on the Move

Simon Property Group Inc (SPG), Conagra Brands Inc (CAG) and TechnipFMC PLC (FTI) are moving higher this morning, while HollyFrontier Corp (HFC), Mosaic Co (MOS) and American International Group Inc (AIG) are headed lower. Crocs, Inc. (CROX), EQT Corporation (EQT) and Focus Financial Partners Inc (FOCS) were upgraded by analysts this morning, while Chegg Inc (CHGG), Okta Inc (OKTA) and BioNTech SE - ADR (BNTX) were downgraded.

International Markets

Stocks in Asia are mixed. The Australia ASX All Ordinaries is up 1.45%, the Nikkei 225 is up 1.33%, the Shanghai SE Composite Index is up 0.78% the Hang Seng is up 0.52% and the Mumbai Sensex is down -0.13%. In Europe stocks are mixed. The DAX is up 0.59%, the Euro Stoxx 50 is up 0.23%, the CAC 40 is up 0.2% and the FTSE 100 is down -0.39%.

Futures & Currencies

Energy futures are mixed today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down -0.53 at 39.17 per barrel. Brent crude is down -0.62 at 41.09 per barrel. Natural Gas is up 0.04 at 1.75. Precious metals are mixed this morning. Gold is down -5.16 at 1767.66 per ounce. Platinum is down -2.55 at 812.5 while silver is up 0.01 at 18.08. The dollar is up compared to the major currencies today. The greenback is up against the euro, up against the Yen and up against the Pound.

Put/Call Ratio

Yesterday, 1,222,573 call contracts traded on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) compared to 673,231 put contracts. The single-session put/call ratio was 0.55.
