First Look
U.S. stock futures have traded on either side of the break-even mark Tuesday morning. Traders are still hoping for a trade deal between the U.S. and China. The latest news on that front are reports from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce that the two sides have "reached consensus" on some issues and will keep talking about other parts of the "phase one" trade deal. A new round of tariffs is set to take effect on Dec. 15, but President Trump could delay or cancel those additional duties. The Dow Jones is up 0.06%, the Nasdaq is up 0.04%, the S&P 500 is up 0.02%.
