Starbucks, XPO Logistics Lead List of new 52-Week Highs

During trading Wednesday, 145 stocks traded to a 52-week high, while 4 stocks bottomed out at new 52-week lows. The S&P 500 is up 0.08% on the day so far while the Dow is up 0.09% and the Nasdaq is up 0.29%. Small-cap stocks are leading the way higher today following Pfizer's announcement that they are seeking emergency-use authorization for their vaccine as investors look towards the end of the pandemic, despite new lockdowns and growing cases. Robinhood added their name to the list of several companies seeking an IPO in the coming months, including Airbnb and DoorDash among others. Housing starts in October increased 4.9% month over month to return near pre-pandemic levels recorded in February. Target (TGT) and TJX (TJX) both beat earnings estimates this morning, while Spire (SR) and Avaya Holdings (AVYA) missed.
