Oil rebound lifts world markets

U.S. stocks are pointing higher today as oil prices bounce back. The S&P 500 is up 0.46% and the Dow is up 0.29%. Asian markets finished mostly higher Tuesday as Japanese banks led the way up. The Shanghai was up 0.30% while the Nikkei was up 3.68%. European markets are rising today with strong earnings reports lifting markets. The FTSE is up 0.40%, while the DAX is up 2.39%.    Energy futures are higher this morning. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is up $0.54 to $41.73 per barrel, while natural gas is up $0.04 to $2.09. Metals prices are up. Gold is up $14.70 to $1,249.70 per ounce and platinum is down $22.70 to $1,000.50. The Dollar is down versus the Euro and up against the Yen. Denbury Resources Inc.(DNR), Harley-Davidson, Inc.  (HOG), and SeaDrill Limited(SDRL) are early risers, while Illumina Inc. (ILMN), Netflix, Inc.(NFLX) and Relypsa, Inc. (RLYP) are down.
