Unusual Options Activity: Big Call Trade on Marvell Technology

We spotted a big trade Friday on Marvell Technologies (MRVL). At 10:46 this morning, 6,000 contracts of the Feb. 82.5 call crossed the tape. At the same time, 4,400 contracts of the Jan. 75 contract changed hands. The February contracts outstripped open interest by a wide margin, while the January contracts were below the current open interest. The February's moved above the current asking price, while the January's moved relatively lower. It appears that this trade was likely a roll, where a trader moved their position up and out to capture more profits.
