The economy added 136,000 non-farm jobs in September, falling short of the 150,000 estimates, with average earnings remaining unchanged from August. The Nasdaq is down -0.27%, the Nasdaq is down -0.27%, the S&P 500 is down -0.35%.

Apple Inc. (AAPL), Mcdonald’s Corp (MCD) and Visa Inc (V) are moving higher this morning, while HP Inc (HPQ), General Electric Company (GE) and Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST) are headed lower. Snap Inc (SNAP), Boston Beer Company Inc (SAM) and Charter Communications Inc (CHTR) were upgraded by analysts this morning, while HP Inc (HPQ), CSX Corporation (CSX) and Insulet Corporation (PODD) were downgraded.
Stocks in Asia are mixed. The Australia ASX All Ordinaries is up 0.38%, the Nikkei 225 is up 0.32%, the Shanghai SE Composite Index is down -0.92% the Hang Seng is down -1.11% and the Mumbai Sensex is down -1.14%. In Europe stocks are up. The FTSE 100 is up 0.38%, the CAC 40 is up 0.26%, the Euro Stoxx 50 is up 0.22% and the DAX is up 0.06%.

Energy futures are mixed today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is up 0.19 at 52.64 per barrel. Brent crude is up 0.55 at 58.26 per barrel. Natural Gas is down -0.01 at 2.31. Precious metals are mixed this morning. Gold is up 3.08 at 1508.27 per ounce. Platinum is down -8.11 at 880.53 while silver is down -0.05 at 17.63. The dollar is down compared to the major currencies today. The greenback is down against the euro, down against the Yen and down against the Pound.
Yesterday, 847,645 call contracts traded on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) compared to 656,572 put contracts. The single-session put/call was 0.77 while the 20-day moving average is now at 0.66.
