Stock futures are trading very slightly below fair value Monday morning. Oil prices are lower after a report late Friday showed U.S. drillers added rigs over the last week. The Trump administration succeeded in keeping a warning against trade protectionism out of a statement issued after a meeting of the G-20 this weekend, but two world leaders President Trump has met with in person in his first two months in office, Germany’s Angela Merkel and Japan’s Shinzo Abe, called for efforts to preserve free markets, including a trade deal between Japan and the EU. The Nasdaq is down -0.03%, the Nasdaq is down -0.03%, the S&P 500 is down -0.13%.

Eli Lilly and Co (LLY), and Sprouts Farmers Market Inc (SFM) are moving higher this morning, while Deutsche Bank AG (USA) (DB) is headed lower.Johnson Controls International plc Ordinary Share (JCI), FireEye Inc (FEYE) and Alaska Air Group, Inc. (ALK) were upgraded by analysts this morning, while Nimble Storage Inc (NMBL), Caleres Inc (CAL) and Bunge Ltd (BG) were downgraded.

International Markets

Stocks in Asia are mixed. The Hang Seng is up 0.79%, the Shanghai SE Composite Index is up 0.41%, the Australia ASX All Ordinaries is down -0.35% the Australia ASX All Ordinaries is down -0.35% and the Mumbai Sensex is down -0.44%.Stocks in Europe are down. The CAC 40 is down -0.29%, the DAX is down -0.27%, the Euronext 100 is down -0.26% and the FTSE 100 is down -0.12%.

Futures and Currencies

Energy futures are down today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down -0.74 at 48.04 per barrel. Brent crude is down -0.58 at 51.18 per barrel. Natural Gas is down -0.03 at 2.91. Precious metals are mixed this morning. Gold is up 1.47 at 1230.73 per ounce. Platinum is down -3.47 at 961.5 while silver is down -0.03 at 17.38. The dollar is mixed compared to the major currencies today. The greenback is down against the euro, up against the Yen and up against the Pound.

Put/Call Ratio

Yesterday, 1,176,177 call contracts traded on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) compared to 717,936 put contracts. The single-session put/call was 0.61 while the 20-day moving average is now at 0.63.
