Stocks continue to fall Friday morning as President Trump continues to ratchet up rhetoric around North Korea. Trump tweeted this morning that “military solutions” are “locked and loaded”. Elsewhere in markets, NVIDIA (NVDA), one of the top-performing stocks in recent years, is down sharply this morning despite reporting better-than-expected earnings and guidance after the bell Thursday. The Dow Jones is down -0.11%, the S&P 500 is down -0.19%, the Nasdaq is down -0.35%.

Stocks on the Move
Celgene Corporation (CELG), Apache Corporation (APA) and Broadcom Ltd (AVGO) are moving higher this morning, while Fluor Corporation (NEW) (FLR), Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) and Paypal Holdings Inc (PYPL) are headed lower. Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC (RBS), Athene Holding Ltd (ATH) and Perrigo Company plc Ordinary Shares (PRGO) were upgraded by analysts this morning, while Blue Apron Holdings Inc (APRN), Snap Inc (SNAP) and Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS) were downgraded.
Stocks in Asia are down. The Hang Seng is down -2.02%, the Shanghai SE Composite Index is down -1.63%, the Australia ASX All Ordinaries is down -1.15% the Mumbai Sensex is down -1.01% and the Nikkei 225 is flat 0%.Stocks in Europe are down. The FTSE 100 is down -1.15%, the CAC 40 is down -1.1%, the Euronext 100 is down -1.06% and the DAX is down -0.26%.
Futures and Currencies
Energy futures are down today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down -0.14 at 48.45 per barrel. Brent crude is down -0.11 at 51.79 per barrel. Natural Gas is down -0.01 at 2.98. Precious metals are up this morning. Gold is down -.89 at 1,285.64 per ounce. Platinum is up 4.88 at 980.33 while silver is up 0.05 at 17.11. The dollar is up compared to the major currencies today. The greenback is up against the euro, up against the Yen and up against the Pound.
Yesterday, 823,551 call contracts traded on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) compared to 727,178 put contracts. The single-session put/call was 0.88 while the 20-day moving average is now at 0.66.
