Stocks on the Move

Alliance Data Systems Corporation (ADS), Apache Corporation (APA) and Transocean LTD (RIG) are moving higher this morning, while Murphy Oil Corporation (MUR), Paypal Holdings Inc (PYPL) and D.R. Horton, Inc. (DHI) are headed lower. Caesars Entertainment Corp (CZR), Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) and BJ's Restaurants, Inc. (BJRI) were upgraded by analysts this morning, while eBay Inc (EBAY), Mobileye NV (MBLY) and Atlassian Corporation PLC (TEAM) were downgraded.

International Markets

Stocks in Asia are mixed. The Hang Seng is up 0.97%, the Mumbai Sensex is up 0.29%, the Australia ASX All Ordinaries is up 0.25% the Shanghai SE Composite Index is up 0.04% and the Nikkei 225 is down -0.01%.In Europe stocks are mixed. The CAC 40 is up 0.71%, the Euronext 100 is up 0.47%, the DAX is up 0.02% and the FTSE 100 is down -0.09%.

Futures and Currencies

Energy futures are up today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is up 0.2 at 50.64 per barrel. Brent crude is up 0.29 at 53.22 per barrel. Natural Gas is up 0.01 at 3.19. Precious metals are mixed this morning. Gold is up 0.57 at 280.84 per ounce. Platinum is up 6.33 at 973.78 while silver is down -0.01 at 18.16. The dollar is mixed compared to the major currencies today. The greenback is down against the euro, up against the Yen and down against the Pound.

Put/Call Ratio

Yesterday, 713,030 call contracts traded on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) compared to 499,195 put contracts. The single-session put/call was 0.70 while the 20-day moving average is now at 0.66.
