Stocks point higher


U.S. stocks are pointing up this morning as the dollar pulls back against other currencies. The S&P 500 is up 0.08%, while the Dow is up 0.31%.

Asian stocks finished higher Friday after dipping on Thursday. The Shanghai was up 0.62% and the Nikkei was up 0.26%.

European markets are mixed today as oil and gas shares slip. The FTSE is up 0.01%, while the DAX is down 0.19%.

Energy futures are mixed today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down $0.43 to $47.53 per barrel, while natural gas is up $0.01 to $3.16. Metals prices are lower this morning. Gold is down $3.40 to $1,185.90 per ounce and platinum is down $20.70 to $910.40. The Dollar is down against the Euro and the Yen.

Albireo Pharma, Inc.   (ALBO),JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd.   (JKS), and NantKwest, Inc.   (NK) are early risers, while Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras(PBR), Banco Bradesco S.A.  (BBD), and Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (SID) are down.
