Stocks mixed ahead of oil production meeting


U.S. stocks are slightly higher today as oil prices move lower. The S&P 500 is up 0.11%, while the Dow is up 0.10%.

Asian stocks finished mixed Tuesday with Japanese markets moving lower. The Shanghai was up 0.18% and the Nikkei was down 0.27%.

In Europe, markets are mixed as investors watch for results from this week’s Italian referendum. The FTSE is down 0.53%, while the DAX is up 0.03%.

Energy futures are down today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down $1.37 to $45.41 per barrel, while natural gas is down $0.02 to $3.30. Metals prices are higher this morning. Gold is up $7.40 to $1,143.40 per ounce and platinum is down $1.20 to $922.10. The Dollar is up against the Euro and the Yen.
