Markets dip as oil prices move lower


U.S. stocks are lower this morning as  oil prices fall back from yesterday’s rally. The S&P is down 0.20% and the Dow is down 0.12%.  

Asian stocks finished mixed Tuesday as a stronger dollar provided some lift. The Shanghai finished down 0.56% while the Hang Seng was up 1.27%.

European stocks are currently higher as markets fluctuate between gains and losses. The FTSE is up 0.98%, while the DAX is up 1.71%.   

Energy futures are down today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down $0.51 to $50.84 per barrel, while natural gas is down $0.02 to $3.25. Metals prices are lower. Gold is down $3.50 to $1,256.90 per ounce and platinum is down $1.40 to $964.00. The Dollar is up versus the Euro and the Yen.
