U.S. stocks are trending up this morning. The S&P 500 is up 0.19% and the Dow is up 0.25%. Producer prices rose 0.1% in July after rising 0.4% the prior month.
Asian markets were mostly up Friday as China Mobile led Hong Kong stocks higher. The Hang Seng was up 0.62% and the Nikkei rose 0.02%.
European stocks are rising today with Russian President Putin taking a more conciliatory tone in his comments. The FTSE is up 0.66%, and the DAX is up 0.78%.
Energy futures are mixed today. The West Texas Intermediate crude oil price per barrel is $95.72, up $0.13 and natural gas down $0.06. Metals prices are down Friday. Gold is down $3.60 and platinum is off $6.40. The Dollar is down versus the Euro and up against the Yen.
