Global markets bounce back


U.S. stocks are climbing this morning with oil prices rising to lift energy shares. The S&P 500 is up 1.69% and the Dow is up 1.70%.

Asian markets rose Tuesday as hopes grow for stimulus to the Chinese economy. The Shanghai Composite rose 3.22%, and the Nikkei was up 0.55%.

European stocks are moving up today, the biggest rise in almost a month. The FTSE is up 2.00%, while the DAX is up 2.06%.   

Energy futures are rising today. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is up $0.44 to $30.83 per barrel, while natural gas is up $0.05 to $2.18. Metals prices are mixed today. Gold is down $6.30 to $1,084.40 per ounce and platinum is up $4.40 to $831.90 an ounce. The Dollar is up versus the Euro and the Yen.

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd.(JKS), ArcelorMittal  (MT), and United States Steel Corp. (X) are early risers, while Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras(PBR), Transocean Ltd. (RIG) and Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. (SRPT) are down. [InvestorsKeyhole, news and data sources]
