U.S. markets are rising Monday after tailing off to end last week. The S&P 500 is up 0.46% and the Dow is up 0.51%.
Asian markets were lower Monday despite China’s central bank lowering reserve requirements. The Hang Seng fell 2.02% while the Nikkei was down 0.09%.
In Europe markets are moving up today after a decline on Friday. The FTSE is up 0.72% while the CAC 40 is up 0.34%.
Energy futures are lower. The price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down $0.56 to $56.76 per barrel, while natural gas is down $0.07. Metals prices are down this morning. Gold is down $4.00 and platinum is down $8.50. The Dollar is up versus the Euro and the Yen.
Hasbro Inc. (HAS), Prologis, Inc. (PLD) and Halliburton Company (HAL) are early risers, while Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (TEVA), Tarena INTERNATIONAL,INC. (TEDU) and Colgate-Palmolive Co. (CL) are down.
