Morning News Leader: Electronic Arts (ERTS) Stock Surges on Apex Legends Success
Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) is up 3.1% Tuesday morning. The troubled video game maker gapped higher on news of a successful launch of its new multi-player combat game “Apex Legends”. Electronic Arts announced that after being released just last week the game already has over 25 million registered users and hit a peak of 2 million concurrent users. The video game sector is under pressure from the rabid success of Fortnite, which by comparison took two weeks to hit the 10 million user mark.
