Al
Schwartz
 |
Mr. Schwartz
is not a tried and true classically trained economist.
His discipline lies in the science field with a Bachelor
of Science in Pharmacy of all things. He practically financed
that pharmacy education (which in all fairness was much
cheaper than the current curriculum) via his stock market
picks. In addition to his stock market endeavors, he taught
undergraduate Pharmacy students in the finer arts of the
profession.
Mr. Schwartz started working at Schaeffer's Investment
Research in 1995 in the mail room (everybody has to start
somewhere, especially if you want to learn something new).
He started reading everything Bernie Schaeffer put in
print and eventually moved into the trading department
as an assistant trader. He found his take on sentiment
reads a refreshing departure from the strict fundamental
and technical analysis He had been using. Over the years
Mr. Schwartz developed a feel for that sentiment analysis
and saw marked improvement in his trading.
Before moving into trading, one of Mr. Swartz's duties
was to write Schaeffer's Opening View, a task which stuck
as the product was ideally improved over the years. The
Pharmacy discipline seemed to mandate accuracy in the
report while his desire to teach also persisted into the
pre-market report. As a Wall Street "outsider"
our discussions and ofttimes views are expressed in that
fashion. They may make sense to the experienced market
devote, but more importantly, the man on the street can
identify with the points of view.
When the market seems a little overwhelming, Mr. Schwartz
finds the great out of doors puts it all back into perspective.
After a few day of camping, he can accept the fact that
he can not control or know for certain where the market
will move next. He doesn't have to. |
