1) What’s really going on with Toyota (TM)? + Lee’s take on AAPL, NOK, RIMM, MOT, PALM, F, BAC, WFC, C, DPZ, AZO, and EBAY
Lee Allen

 |
Toyota (TM) seemed to be speeding to the front of the pack in the race to be the world’s largest car maker. Their vehicles were well designed, fuel efficient, and just plain snazzy. Some might say they were quickly becoming the Apple Computer (AAPL) of car manufacturers.
But Toyota seems to have pulled into a temporary pit stop for a while. They have been sidelined by recalls of cars that appear to have minds of their own when it comes to when they accelerate and if they stop. This is not always a good thing when a driver approaches a crosswalk with an elderly gentleman is making his way across the street as fast as he and his walker can move.
|
As if distractions from our Nokia (NOK), Research In Motion (RIMM), Motorola (MOT), and Palm (PALM) cell phones was not enough, these Toyota cars have introduced a form of driving Russian Roulette to crosswalks, parking lots, and primary school child pickup lanes across the globe.
I have seen it… And you probably have, too… Could this be just the beginning… |
