E-Mini S&P Portfolio
A few months ago I was out in
the field doing some investment research and I was accosted and
near mortally injured by a 200 year-old-Chinese women.
By research in this case I mean a San Francisco
Investment conference ...standing in a long coffee line. So…
This old Chinese woman eyes my badge and sees I’m from InvestorsObserver.
Exactly what happened next is a little blurry after the point when
she slammed her copy of Macmillan’s - Options as a Strategic
Investment - on my head. That book is over 890 pages. It’s
bigger than a brick. Maybe bigger than three bricks.
The old Chinese lady yells, “You stupid
boy. You no do E-mini. I do E-mini and make lots money and risk
little cash. Why you not do E-Mini? Stupid boy.”
After about the sixth hit from the McMillan
book I was on the floor. Of course the people behind me quickly
scooted up in line to take my place but did not come to my rescue.
Before blacking out all I could remember was that this old lady
really thought more people should be investing in the E-mini.
“E-Mini work for me. You stupid boy.
Tell people about E-mini. Why you keep a secret? You can….”
A few days later I get back to the office
and I’m telling the folks here this story and instead of showing
some sympathy (I still had some purple spots on my bald head), these
other InvestorsObserver analysts are up at the white board feverishly
working through the plusses and minuses of starting an E-mini portfolio
for the web site.

The trades in this portfolio require an initial investment between
$2,000 and $6,000. If you use the stop loss orders along with your
trades you can limit your losses to approximately $100/contract.
But when trading the E-Mini there exist the possibility of loosing
more than your investment.
The strategies at the core of this portfolio should help you benefit
from an expected move in a S&P 500 index. Our analysts identify
high probablity low-risk trades. However all trades have a risk
component. We attempt to address some of that risk by using a stop
loss order.
The E-Mini S&P Portfolio will usually have four to six trades
every month. Using sophisticated computer models, we hunt down the
trades with the highest probability of success and the lowest relative
risk. Trades are posted three to six times during the month with
built in controls to exit when the investment reaches its target
and to safeguard against a total loss of investment. But a total
loss is very possible. In fact, trading the futures you can loose
more than your investment. This service uses one page with each
trade dated along with a short discussion on why the trade was chosen.
A table summarizes the portfolio trades and total profit for the
month. Subscribers are notified by email each time the portfolio
changes.
This Portfolio can also be auto-traded with your broker. Call Mike
Lavelle at MAN Financial (800-837-6212) for more information.
These trades use the E-Mini S&P futures and there is substantial
risk involved, so be sure to see the disclaimer at the bottom of
